Why Tom McMillin?
Tom McMillin is a proven tax cutter who will fight for us in Lansing!
PRIORITY #1: REPEAL THE GRANHOLM TAX INCREASE. When Tom gets to Lansing he will lead the fight to roll back Gov. Granholm's massive job-killing, economy-slowing tax increase.
TOM DOESN'T JUST "TALK THE TALK," he "walks the walk" when it comes to tax cutting. As a City Councilman and County Commissioner, he reduced taxes and eliminated wasteful spending time after time.
AS OUR NEXT STATE REPRESENTATIVE, Tom will be our voice in Lansing. He will be a leader in the fight to cut taxes, reduce spending and grow Michigan's economy.

Tom McMillin is a proven defender of traditional values and the right to life.
DEFEND TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE. Tom is a proven leader in the battle to protect traditional marriage between one man and one woman. He led the successful effort in Oakland County to place a constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriages on the ballot, which was approved by voters statewide in 2004.
PROTECT LIFE. At every level of government at which he has served, Tom has a stellar record as a pro-life champion. He is a leader in our state to protect the right to life.

Tom McMillin believes in "transparent" government.
One of Tom's top priorities will be to force transparency in state government spending. We should follow the lead of other states who are putting their government spending on the internet, allowing a bright light to shine on the spending of our tax dollars.

Tom McMillin thinks we should have a part-time legislature.
It's time to move Michigan to a part-time legislature. It seems the more legislators are in Lansing, the more burdensome regulations and bigger government is created.

Tom McMillin believes in local control in education.
Tom will work to ensure local control of education is given to parents and teachers. Tom will work to ensure more of the education tax dollars from Lansing is spent in the classroom and not on any unnecessary bureaucracy. Tom will work to bring more transparency to all government spending, including monies spent on education.
